Behind the Camera
Most
people tend to get a little curious who the photographer is behind all
of the photos. Well, this is me, Sam, and my best friend, Tucker. He is my
whole world. My whole world also consists of my other Springer Spaniel,
Emma, and every other animal out there. I am an animal lover and have
been since I can remember. This is the reason why I have a passion for
pet photography. It allows me to be close to what matters most to me
while also capturing memories of beloved pets for others.
I've learned everything I know about animals and my camera mostly on my own. Through trial and error (and a lot of help from my dad) I have learned how to handle my camera, and through a lot of time and dedication working around animals and reading about animals, I feel I know them as well as I know myself.
I volunteer at a local animal shelter taking photographs for their website and spend a lot of time with the animals in general. Many of the photographs you see in my gallery are from the shelter. I love every animal I come in contact with and look forward to meeting many more amazing animals - in shelters or already with owners.
I dedicate all of my work to my canine companions I have lost. Thank you Shelby, Abby, and Tiffany for teaching me how wonderful of friends canines really are.
